The classic American touring bagger — the Electra Glide's Milwaukee-Eight V-twin, batwing fairing, and plush ride make it a superb long-haul highway cruiser, and Harley's parts/support are everywhere. The Milwaukee-Eight is a strong engine (a big step up from the old Twin Cam). Watch for hard-touring wear and heavy aftermarket modification. A clean, well-maintained Electra Glide is a comfortable, characterful mile-eater.
