Some 2.7L V6 engines were built with intake valves made from a metal that can turn brittle if it overheated during machining; the valve can crack and break while driving, causing a sudden loss of power or a dead engine, sometimes with very low mileage. Ford recalled 2021–2022 Broncos (and F-150/Explorer/Edge with the same engine) in 2024 and will replace the engine free of charge if it fails a dealer cycle test. Confirm the recall inspection was completed.
