A funky-looking subcompact that's really a tall hatch — front-drive only, slow, but reliable and cheap to run, with the durable 2.0L and CVT. Rear visibility and space are compromised by the styling, and there's no AWD. If you want Toyota dependability in a distinctive city runabout and don't need all-wheel drive, it's a sensible, safe pick.
