High-pressure fuel pump can starve the engine or cause loss of powerHigh — wallet impact

A defect in the high-pressure fuel pump's control valve can let excess fuel into the pump, over-richening the mixture and causing a loss of drive power on 2.0T models; a separate manufacturing burr can block the pump's fuel nozzle and starve the engine. Hyundai/Genesis recalled 2019–2023 G70s to update engine control software and inspect or replace the pump. Confirm the recall was completed.
