A genuinely solid budget subcompact — the redesigned 2018 Accent uses a simple 1.6L with a conventional 6-speed automatic (no CVT), rides well, and feels a class above the price. One of the safer bottom-dollar new-car-turned-used picks. Watch the paint and keep up the oil; otherwise, buy with confidence.
