Driveshaft flexible coupling failure causing vibration or separation (recalled)High — wallet impact

The rubber coupling connecting the transmission to the driveshaft on early Transits can crack and fail, first showing up as a vibration or hum between 50–70 mph — in more severe documented cases the driveshaft has come loose entirely.
