The G80 M3 Competition is the most complete performance sedan on the market. 503hp, rear-biased xDrive, a suspension that somehow reads the road, and an interior that stopped making excuses. The S58 engine is excellent once the HPFP issue is sorted. Get the service history from BMW's dealer portal and verify the fuel pump campaign. If it's been done and it's CPO, this is the one to buy.

The S58 twin-turbo inline-six in the G80 M3 has documented high-pressure fuel pump failures on early production units — engine hesitation and limp mode. BMW extended the warranty on the HPFP; verify the update/replacement was completed.

If the previous owner optioned CCCB (carbon ceramic brakes), those rotors are not designed for cold-weather or normal street driving — they crack and wear fast below operating temperature. Street use in cold climates destroys them.
